of building homes began in 1953 when
Eugene "Kit" Carson, Sr.
envisioned the great promise of new growth in California
merging with new lifestyle trends and an intuitive sense to
provide homes of quality. Careful planning and solid
decision making are the cornerstones of Kit Construction Co.,
Inc. and is attributed to the family success and longevity.
Since its inception, Kit Construction Co., Inc. has built
approximately 2,500 homes and 2000 apartment units in nearly
30 communities in California and Nevada. The Carson
family has served Alhambra to Whittier in Southern
California, Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, and Roseville in Northern
California, and Reno, Nevada. Each community
proudly bears the Carson mark of excellence and is a tribute
to the vision of contributing something special to housing.
The roots of experience, stability and
family tradition with Eugene Carson Sr. at the helm as
Chairman of the Board expanded in 1975 to include
Eugene Carson Jr., now President of Kit Construction Co., Inc. In
1999, son,
Todd Carson was added to the team as Vice
President of construction and warranty. The variety of age
and attitude broadens the family understanding of staying in
harmony with homebuyer’s desires and meeting the broad
ranges of California lifestyles.
